This is the closest sandy beach to Giljana. lt is hidden away just 10 minutes on foot. lt is popular with the locals and expats living in St Julians.
This stretch of rocky beach is also about 10 minutes away from Giljana. lt goes all the way to Sliema. lt is easy to swim here as there are ladders to help you safely go in and out of the water. Moreover this is a protected area meaning it is designated for swimmers and boats cannot enter.

Spinola bay is where you will see Maltese fishing boats and fishermen. There are also some good restaurants and bars and a lovely promenade.
St Georges bay is a larger sandy beach about 25 minutes away. lt is in the heart of Paceville and very popular with students who come to Malta to learn English.
